You were the best mom I ever had. Seriously, I miss your warmth when it was warm and your caring when it had love in it. Thinking of you all during this very sad time. The loss of both parents (grandparents) in such a short time is devastating. Gwen always had a wonderful smile and great laugh. Often when I would be waiting for the ferry in Millidgeville she would be walking her dog and we would have a great chat. I hope you will soon be able to be together as a family and share your stories and memories of your Mom.

I was so sad to hear of Aunt Gwen's passing. I have been thinking of her every day. She had always been so kind to us, and to Mom, and will always have a special place in my heart. I will be forever grateful that we had that precious visit with her and all the phone chats. Oh how she loved to laugh and we did have had lots of laughs. She was so proud of all of you especially her grandchildren. To lose both parents so close together is so very hard. My deepest condolences to you all. Darlene and Joe Gillis (Viola's daughter)
