Obituary of Omer Joseph Daigle
With heavy hearts, the family of Omer Daigle of Willow Grove, cherished husband of Linda (Enman) Daigle, announce his passing which occurred on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on May 3, 1950 in Bathurst, he was a son of the late Fred and Mary (Legace) Daigle.
Prior to retiring, Omer was employed as a welder for 35 years with NB Power. This was a career he truly enjoyed and where many lifelong friendships were made. Omer was a private man who learned lots of life’s lessons by quietly watching and listening. His gentle and loving ways along with his kindness and willingness to help those in need will forever be remembered. Omer always held a special place in his heart for animals, especially his canine companions. He enjoyed working in his garage, was skilled at carpentry and loved his flower gardens. Most of all, Omer was a loving and devoted family man who adored spending time with those he loved. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife of 41 years, Linda, Omer will be lovingly remembered by his children, Jeanette Mason (Jason) and Mike Daigle (Michelle) both of Saint John; siblings, Marie Daigle of Saint John, Doreen Churchill of Miramichi, Mary Rose Landry of Dalhousie and Stanley Daigle (Yvette) of London, Ontario; precious grandchildren, Derek, Abby, Wyatt, Michael, Liam and Myles; along with several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Emery, Willie, Leonard, Eric, Lionel, Delia, Fred and Roger.
