Obituary of Peter Wells Kelley
It is with great sadness that the family of Peter Wells Kelley, husband of Anne Marie (Creamer) Kelley, announces his passing on August 18, 2020, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Saint John, on March 20, 1940, he was the son of the late Levi and Mildred (Pike) Kelley.
Peter was a hard worker, and was employed with Saint John energy for 40 years. When he wasn’t working, he was an avid reader. He liked to spend his Monday nights at the bowling alley. He loved chatting with anyone and everyone, but most of all, he loved his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Peter is survived by his wife of 58 years Marie; children: Suzanne (Rick Daigle) Kelley, Jeffrey Peter Kelley, and Brian (Gillian) Kelley, all of Saint John; grandchildren: Jared, Kaleigh, Olivia and Owen; sisters: Susan Kelley, of Grand Bay – Westfield, Katherine (Hartley) Bastarache of Quispamsis, Rosalyn (Allan) Hewittson, of Kittmatt, BC, and Christina Darrah of Fredericton; as well as several nieces, nephew, and friends.
Besides his parents, Peter was predeceased by his brothers Colin and Wesley Kelley.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, from 12 PM until 2 PM, which will then be followed by his funeral liturgy at 2 PM. Guests are asked to enter the funeral home using the courtyard entrance, where staff will greet and assist you with Covid-19 protocol. Donations in Peter’s name can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences can be placed at www.BrenansFH.com.
