Obituary of Darrell James McQuade
The sudden death of Darrell James McQuade of Saint John, occurred on Friday, August 21, 2020 at his home. Darrell was the beloved son of Colleen (Burke) McQuade of the Kingston Peninsula and the late Milton McQuade. Besides his father, Darrell was predeceased by his loving wife, Tracey (Fox) McQuade and his sister, Susan (wife of Martin) Holland.
Darrell is survived by his three loving children, Mitch (Amy), Nick (Melissa) and Jenna of Grand Bay-Westfield and Saint John; along with the apple of his eye his grandchildren, Landon and soon to be William (children of Nick and Melissa). Darrell is also survived by his sisters, Maureen (Dave) Small, Belinda McQuade and Christine McQuade; as well as loving nieces and nephews on the McQuade side. He also leaves behind his brothers-in-law, Daniel Fox (Heather) of Baxters Corner, Tony Fox of Nerepis, Scott Taylor (Bridgette) of NB and Mark Fox of Scarborough, ON; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Darrell was a loving husband, a truly dedicated father and grandfather and a dependable man of great pride, character and compassion who lived for his children, grandchildren, wife and family. Darrell was best known for his unparalleled work ethic and will forever be remembered by his many customers at CO-OP and Sobeys west. He took enormous pride in his work and even after suffering a debilitating injury to his heart, worked feverishly to return to the work he was so proud of. A man of strong faith and a practising Catholic, he is surely at peace after being reunited in the afterlife with his loving wife Tracey, sister Susan and the many loved ones that went before him. He is loved dearly and will be sadly missed.
