I have fond memories of Dena over many years.. From the days on Wentworth Street with Nanny Peters and the Sunday mornings at Saint James Church on Broad Street .She was a good kind person and a faithful servant of the Lord. I was so glad that Diane and Charles Jones got to visit with her when they came from the USA last summer. My thoughts and prayers are with the family

This beautiful women is who I was blessed to call Mother. Her light will always shine through her family. She was the head of our family and was looked upon for her wisdom and always encouraging thoughts. She loved the Lord and wore her faith on her sleeve. You can't live for 94 years without going through your share of highs and lows. The highs were like a cup that was over flowing. The lows were a learning experience and a lesson to do better. Mom was love by many who adopted her as their own and was love by all who had the pleasure of her company. She will be greatly missed and thought of fondly for the rest of my days.. Rest in Peace my dear Mother, until we meet again.. Attached is a great picture of Mom and my Sister Lynn, her rock and other half..

I can’t remember a time when Deena was not a part of my family’s life. She held both of my children as infants and was such a good friend to my Mama and myself. She had a strong faith in God and I know she has earned a special place among the angels. We will all cherish the beautiful memories and know that we are all better people because we had Deena in our lives. Until we meet again RIP
