Obituary of Judy McLellan-Myers
With heavy hearts the family of Judy McLellan-Myers announce her passing which occurred on Monday, September 14, 2020 at Bobby’s Hospice. Judy, 70, of Saint John, was born to parents, Josephine McLellan and David McLellan on August 8, 1950 in Saint John.
Judy enjoyed travelling, spending time with her family, playing bingo and giving lovin’s to her dog and cat.
As a young lady, Judy met Wayne Myers in Saint John and they were married November 30, 1968. Together they raised four children: Shelly, Wayne, Wanda and Laurie.
Judy is survived by her brothers, Robert McLellan (Pat), Allen McLellan (Jean) and Phil McLellan (Heather); daughter, Shelly Simmons (Paul); son, Wayne Myers (Zarrah); daughter, Wanda Linares (Neftali) and daughter, Laurie Defazio. Judy is also survived by her grandchildren, Mirria, Christopher, Natasha, Leigh, Siana, Keith, Matthew, Abigail, Cory, Ryan and Maleik; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Presley, Paityn, Ainsley and Rowen; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly.
Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine McLellan; father, David McLellan; brothers, Brian McLellan (Donna), Gary McLellan (Mary Ann) and David McLellan.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). In keeping with Judy’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Judy’s ashes will be interred with her brother, David, on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 3:00 PM in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery, 1650 Manawagonish Road, West Saint John. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
For those who wish, remembrances made to the Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue or Bobby’s Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
