Dear Stephanie and family....
I was so sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad...a guy who obviously had tons of influence on your athletics and positive spirited personality through so many years of your entire life.
You're still lucky to have your Mom who remains such an important role model too and is also the biggest cheerleader in your life as well. Cherish every moment with the people in your life currently. Though I didn't know your Dad very well, based on his eulogy, I figure you were a chip off the old block!! You're so lucky to have had two great influencers in your life. And I have been so fortunate to have known and worked with you in the athletics field and volleyball life...and so, indirectly I too have benefited from the life's education you received from both your Mom and Dad. "They done good".... :-)
You may have lost your Dad physically, but carry on with his positive spirit. Memories and great times cannot be stolen from you!
Take care Steph. Stay safe and well.
Hugs to and your families,
Hugs and love, Sue

Malcolm and I were so sorry to hear of Kenny's passing. We had such great times at East Saint John School. We didn't see him very much after we retired but we would bump into him at the Sea Dogs Games from time to time, often selling 50/50 tickets for the Shriners. He always had a great big smile. You are in our thoughts and prayers during this sad and difficult time.

To Pat & Family ,
Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Ken . I first met Ken back in 1975 when we put on a Basketball Clinic together at Centennial School. Over the years I have enjoyed Ken's company when he refereed games when I coached at St Mac's and the many times that we competed against each other in various city leagues . I also connected with Ken at several CPRA Conferences across Canada when he was the Common Council rep to the Recreation & Parks Department . People at the Conferences would ask me if the " Councillor from Saint John " that talked a lot was coming . Ken was always the center of attention at these events because of his friendly and outgoing personality . To Ryan , John & Stephanie your father was one of the good guys . Pat Palmer

My fondest memories were the day that Canadian Blood Services presented the three of us with Simulated Gold, Silver and Bronze medallions as the only donors to have reached or exceded the 900 donations level. Fewer than 100 Canadians had reached that goal as of that date and we had three in Saint John.
Ken and Patricia were with us in Fredericton in 2013 when we were introduced by Ted Flemming to the entire body of the New Brunswick Legislation. And were given a standing ovation by both sides of the house.

Pat, I'm so sorry to see that you and your family have lost Ken. I remember meeting him at your home on our visits there and although I didn't know him, I will always remember his genuine and welcoming smile. No matter our age, we don't get to know how long we're going to be here, so the only true worthwhile thing we can do while we are is to make memories to leave behind for our loved ones. I wish you peace and smiles when you open those gifts of memories he's left for you. Debbie Cusack xoxo

Dear Pat and family,
The south end has lost yet another one of its wonderful sons. Tom Longon passed on Monday and Ken on Tuesday. We spent many great hours playing basket ball on the uneven pavement in the back of King Edward School. No net, just the hoops. Ken developed a skill well beyond the rest of us but was always there with encouragement. He did us proud throughout his life and career. May God bless him now that his journey is over. My deepest condolences.

Ken was one of the movers &shakers at SJHS, always on the move, always fully engagged, a great athlete and team leader. Ken was kind enough to attend my mother's funeral at Trinity in 2002 even though we had not seen each other for many years. He was just that kind of guy. I am sorry to learn of the devestating illness that attacked him far too early in life. Saint John has lost a great citizen and we who were at school with him, have lost a good friend. I offer my deepest sympathy to Ken's family.

He was an advocate for our library and able me as Teacher Librarian to get funding and addition resources to help us expand and service our students and teachers. He had a good rapport with both teachers and students. He was well loved by all. I also had the good fortune to work with his wife Pat in a counselling of young children.
