Mum taught school for many years at both Champlain Heights and Forest Hills elementary schools. Her bevy of students always enjoyed recounting the many colourful stories of their time under her tutelage. She never missed an opportunity to read, be it a weekly news magazine, a recipe book or the Greek classics. Her love of reading was only eclipsed by her love of cooking for her family, a skill at which she excelled and fortunately passed on to her daughters. World history and politics were her passion along with her dachshund, Willie. Summers spent at the cottage in Shediac are the source of many fond family memories. Mum loved to travel and dream about where the next trip would be. She dreamed of one last trip to Greece. Hopefully, her dream will come true now that she is reunited with her loving husband, Dave.
A special loving thank you to our sister Peg, who not only was mom’s exercise and support partner for the past several years but in addition put her life on hold to move in and be our mother’s full time caregiver for these last challenging months.
