Obituary of Mel Morin
It is with great sadness that the family of Mel Morin announces his passing which occurred on September 24, 2020, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Penetanguishene, Ontario, on March 8, 1944, he was a son of the late Raymond and Marie (Ladouceur) Morin.
Mel was an active member of the Oromocto Legion Branch #93 and spent a total of 23 years with the Canadian Forces before retiring as a Sargent. He spent his first 3 years serving in The Black Watch and the next 20 years with the Dental Corp.
Mel is survived by his loving wife, Cecile; two children, Suzanne David (Wayne) and Raymond Morin (Tina); sister, Yvonne Ladouceur; grandchildren, Maren David, Jade David, Cadence Morin. In addition to his parents, Mel was predeceased by his brother, Robert Morin
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A graveside service will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at 2:00 PM.
