May you always walk in sunshine,
and God’s around you flow.
For the happiness you gave us,
No one will ever know.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone.
A part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
A million times we needed you
A million times we cried.
If love could only have saved you
You would’ve never died.
The Lord be with you and may you rest in peace.

I remember Doe well, I arrived at saint John Detachment in fall of 1973 all of being 22 yrs. old and soon learned we were all her boys in blue. History shows she saw many of us come and go after 30 plus years as our secretary and she cherished her memories of us all to her dying day. I was fortunate enough to meet her again so many years later through her niece Ann Marie who was our neighbor and kept me posted on how and what she was doing. I will always remember.

I was so sorry to hear of Doreen's passing. I am an RCMP Veteran and when I was posted to Saint John Detachment on the Gault Road, Doreen (Doe as we affectionally called her) was secretary there. She served there for 37 years. We all loved Doe and she was always so happy to help us in any way she could which we greatly appreciated. Until recently she occasionally attended our Monthly Luncheons at the Mediterranean Restaurant. Occasionally Doe and I would have a little chat on the phone. I still have the Official Photograph taken back in 1978 of all Detachment members with Doe sitting in the middle. I shall miss her. To those she loved so much I send my deepest sympathy.
Rev. Wally Collett.

Doreen so loved her Holy Trinity, CWL and Rocmaura families, all of which I was privileged to be a part of. She was so dedicated to her various roles and always of top of things needing to be done. We will miss her smile and her many kindnesses. She loved her Kelly and Patterson families, of which she spoke very highly and often. We know you will miss her greatly. Rest in Peace Doreen.
