Susie was my first cousin and I have many fond memories of summers at Brighton Shore in Charlottetown. She was so kind to her younger cousins and would take time to hang with us and had many suggestions of things we could do on rainy days. They were excellent ideas that we went with!
My sympathies with her boys and extended family.

Susan was a wonderful gift to everyone who knew her. I'll always be grateful for her friendship which began in a crazy class at Pitt and lasted for 50 years via letters, phone and email. Her warmth, humour and courage were dazzling and will remain in wonderful memories of her. Sincere condolences to her family, the MM support group members and Triscuit.

Sincere condolences to David, Neil and families; on the loss of your mother, Sue. We have wonderful memories of Sue, as both a neighbour and a colleague for many years. When we first moved to Millidgeville and met you all, Sue's warmth and generousity of heart were immediately apparent. You boys were so young then, but Sue certainly showed her love and affection for you at every opportunity. She always had a smile and an easy laugh, even when the 'car' came over to visit us, by itself. And even when she moved to Brentwood, we would occasionally meet each other on our walks, as we both enjoyed the fresh air and quiet backroads of Millidgeville. I also had the privilege to be a colleague of hers when she worked at the ward chipman library; and that kindness, warm-heartedness and empathy which I loved as her neighbour, was equally apparent as a colleague. But what I most loved about Sue, was that twinkle in her eye, which was almost always there, sometimes obvious, sometimes hidden; but always ready to break out. She was a wonderful woman and will be sorely missed by all her friends and family

Susan was a great woman. I remember her back in the day when I was Serials Librarian at Mt. A and she was Serials Librarian at UNBSJ. I had serveral uproarious lunches with her and Ian Wilson, Director of the public library, in Saint John. Our hoots continued via e-mail. I live in Ontario now, but return each summer to a cottage in NB. We planned to connect for many years, but never did. I regret that now. Clear sailing, Susan. - Bradd

I was a neighbour of Susan’s in Brentwood Park for many years. What I remember the most about Susan is that she was always upbeat and always had a wonderful smile on her face.

It is with great shock and sadness that I send my most sincere sympathy to you, Susan's family. I have known Susan since just before she started the myeloma support group in St, John. I was the contact for her to call and talk about what was involved with doing a support group. Her determination to help others with the same diagnosis was her driving force and she was an instant hit! We became fast friends and have supported each other in our leadership associated with Myeloma Canada since that first phone call. Susan was a fearless leader in New Brunswick nd went above and beyond doing what she could to advocate for all myeloma patients and their families. She will leave a huge void and very big shoes to fill, however, I feel that her group should carry on in her memory. I send what we give in Nova Scotia for hugs and they are "heart to heart" hugs to you, her family members, from myself and Julie on behalf of the Nova Scotia Multiple Myeloma Support Group. Rest in Peace Susan.

I am shocked and saddened by Susan's sudden passing. For 11 years we have been neighbours. She made Brandon & me feel very welcome when we moved next door. She was a lovely, kind and caring person. I have fond memoires of her, always with a dog she adopted and adored. My sincere condolences at this very sad time.

Totally in disbelief at Susan’s passing. Last spoke with her a couple of weeks ago as I just finished putting a driveway down to her cottage so she wouldn’t have all those steps to climb. Had many enjoyable talks this summer and she became a good friend.
Condolences to her family.

Neil and David, I'm so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. We were neighbours of yours in Candlewood Lane years ago and I always enjoyed chatting with her. She was such a warm and caring person. Whenever we ran into each other in recent years we would have fun catching up on each other's lives. My condolences to both of you and your families.

My condolences to Susan's family. Susan was my supervisor for several years at the Ward Chipman Library before she became Director. Her kindness and the knowledge she imparted to me in my new position meant a lot. She was very professional, but could also have a good laugh (and I think I gave her lots of material during training). I will also always remember Susan's classy fashion sense and beautiful shoes. She will long be remembered..

Sue was a great supporter of the New Brunswick Fencing Association. When her son David started Fencing Sue was there to help with clinics and tournament. Sue was a smiling face at the registration table welcoming Fencers from around the Atlantic Provinces. A great person. She will be missed.
