Obituary of Michael "Mike" Nickerson
It is with broken hearts that the family of Michael Nickerson announces his unexpected passing on October 19, 2020. Born in Saint John on April 25, 1954, he was a son of the late Walter and Winnifred (Gaudet) Nickerson.
Mike was a kind and caring man, who would do anything for a friend in need – and to Mike, everybody was a friend. He participated in many various clubs and organizations such as the Honorable Order of the Blue Goose, Intl., he was a member of the Midland Golf Course, as well as the Pirates Cove Campground. Mike was also very involved in the communities of Hampton and Renforth. Above all, though, Mike was a family man. Family was his life, and his life was his family. He was a proud father and husband, and enjoyed puttering around the yard and being a handyman. He was a lover of animals too, and especially adored his dog Tucker.
Mike will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife Margot; children: Delaney (Laurie) Haynes, Peter Nickerson, Kim Hamilton, and Rob (Jill Lanteigne) Hamilton; brothers: John (Ellie) Nickerson, and Brian (Faye) Nickerson; sisters: Judy (Bill) Wallace, Cathy (David) Jagoe, and Kim Nickerson; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion and best friend, Tucker the dog. He was predeceased by his parents.
