My condolences to Mr Addison’s family and friends. I have cut his hair for years now and thoroughly enjoyed his kind spirit and wonderful stories of Ireland and his adventures. I am sad to hear of his passing. He will be missed. Rest In Peace.

We will all miss you, Paddy. I will miss the cadence of your accent and sound of your voice. I will miss the way you said my name after which you'd ask me how I was or my parents. I will miss your love for curry and my joy of making you sweat from the heat of it.
I will miss your solid stance on an issue, but more so that giggle you had when an argument was over. I know you just loved to debate and more so loved someone who could keep up with you.
I will miss razzing you about Arsenal and will miss your passion and our chats about english sports. Sorry, but still don't get cricket, but I will cherish the cricket ball you had 09 send to us to teach me.
I will miss your devotion to Agnes and all your friends and family. Most of all I will miss having you in our life and at our table.
Rest in Peace, Pad.

John,
Not been in touch as regularly as one should. Judith and I have great memories of our stay with you and Agnes some years ago. I still prefer the Chigaco Blackhawks though! The family here in Napier New Zealand and indeed Ireland are very sorry to hear of your passing. Enjoy your time with Agnes, Eva and Jack (parents) now..... slán leat - goodbye from your cousin.

After our family shared a wonderful feast together at Cranberry Lane, Paddy had forgotten his cane behind at the table. As I chased after him, my niece yells"its a Christmas Miracle!" We all laughed so hard; it was 1 of the few times he was speechless! I believe the Irish Proverb "Time is a great story teller" was actually referencing Paddy

So very sorry to hear this news though I'm sure he is now with Agnes. Anytime we ran into each other he always had a story. You also knew when he was around at NBTel as he was the only person I know that could wear that cologne and smell so good. Agnes once told me it was the cologne that came in the horse head from Avon.

I first met Paddy many years ago at Reggie’s, as part of the regular breakfast crew, but I came to know Paddy and Agnes both through music and the NB Competitive Festival of Music, and later when they started to attend Stone Church. They were so devoted to each other. One of my favourite Paddy (and Agnes) stories in the time they volunteered to drive Cian to the provincial music festival, which I believe was in Mirimichi that year, because I could not do it. Upon their return Paddy, with those twinkling eyes and devilish smile, said “Cian never shut up talking”. Imagine, Paddy Addison complaining that someone out-talked him, hahaha. Agnes thought it was hilarious. But that was Paddy (and Agnes), offering to take that trip to Mirimichi just so my son could sing that day. Such kind people. And Paddy never failed to ask me about how Cian was. Paddy, you will be sorely missed but my heart is happy that you are now with your precious Agnes.

My deepest sympathy to the extended family & friends on D J "Paddy " Addison's passing. I worked along side Paddy in the 1970's at NB Tel's Right of Way & Land Department . Paddy was a great conversationalist & he was proud of his Irish Heritage. May he rest in peace for a life well lived.
