A truly kind and genuine gentleman, he was always interesting and interested. I loved running into him - usually at Sobeys - and hearing his gentle humour; he was a great student of human nature, I think. The last time I saw him - again at Sobeys - Greg was patiently waiting for his dad to complete his numerous visits with well-wishers.
My sincere sympathy to all you Bamburys - Bill will be missed by so many!

Favorite memories are singing and entertaining at your house, sailing on the Saint John River and jumping off the boat, the awesome toast to the bride. Uncle Bill always made you feel like a favorite of his. Thinking of you all during this time and sending hugs from Fredericton.

So sorry to hear of Bill's passing . The obituary does a wonderful job of describing his character. I always enjoyed chatting with him whenever our paths crossed. He had that mischievous twinkle in his eye whenever he swapped a story with you . It's hard to describe, but it was like he was pulling one over on you- and letting you in on it at the same time! A true gentleman, who will be missed.

Thoughtful condolences to the Bambury Family.
Bill was a pleasure to speak to when I saw him out & about town. He would always ask about my family, in particular my Grandmother May Jones ("How is your Grandmother? My God she looks good!") and my mother Joan (Lewis) Davis. I in turn would enjoy hearing about his family; where everyone was living, what they were doing and if they would be home soon. My Dad, Jack Lewis, worked for a short time with Bill at the beginning of his career, as Bill fondly remembered.
I will always remember Bill as a kind and caring soul. A life worthwhile.
Sincerely,
Scott Lewis and family.
