Obituary of Diane Hester
Hester, Diane Marie –
With appreciation for a life well-lived, the family of Diane Hester announces her unexpected passing which occurred on Friday, December 18, 2020 at the Charlotte County Hospital. Born in Saint John on April 6, 1954, she was a daughter of the late James W. and Marie F. (Brennan) Willis.
She will be missed by her best friend and the love of her life, Jack Hester; her sister Jane Hook; nephew Christopher Hook (Angela) and their sons Tayan and Kallan; niece Alexis Silver (David) and their children Sidney and Elijah; members of Jack’s family who she loved like her own; as well as her pets; two cats Bobby and Nanny, and dog Duncan.
Diane attended Rothesay Regional High School. She loved horses and began riding at the Rothesay Pony Club. She taught riding at the Bengal Lancers Stables in Halifax, NS and at the Fredericton Pony Club. She was also Stable Manager and Trainer for the Canadian Olympic Equestrian Team. Diane was a gifted artist, having worked for the Station House Gallery refinishing photos by hand for several years and most recently creating pieces for her own Fishbone Studio.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). In keeping with the family’s wishes, a celebration of Diane’s life will take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a local SPCA or charity of the donor’s choice.
