Jayne and I became fast friends as we both are family through marriage of my son to Janessa. She made me feel at home right away. She really loved her daughter and they shared an enviable relationship. Her love was unconditional. We bonded over our faith and our kids and then Soul Jaye.
We traveled together several times. She is so fun loving, adventurous, yet careful too, bad back seat driver always cautioning me to slow down. In our trip to Wisconsin we had lots of laughs. We were to see water parks but hit snow instead. She made breakfast daily and fed the ducks outside the cottage patio. We laughed through the cold, saw a distillery. tried new restaurants, she was a lot of fun. In Mexico we both lost our phones in an ocean swell. She loved facebook and seemed to experience withdrawal when her phone broke, but now I realize why. She had many friends and was an activist in many causes. She made everything a new experience, had a love of life and a joy for living despite her troubles i especially appreciate her faith. ‘Don’t worry, just take it to God in prayer’” she would always say. Little did I know how brave she really was She lived out her faith and I admire her fight for causes. Most of all we became good friends . I regret not being able to see her due to Covid. I tearfully remember the good times we shared, her smile and laughter. My condolences to her family. She was a rare and wonderful person and will be very much missed. Hope to see her again someday as she is lifted up into the arms of God.

Jim, Janessa, Soul Jaye and the rest of Jayne's family, I am so very sorry to hear of Jayne's passing. I met her during the early days of protesting against fracking and we kept in touch over the years. I used to go out in my yard and pick plantain for her so she could make teas and salads for healing her body. She would come to Sussex to meet for coffee, pick up her goodies and then go visit Becky and Jim. She truly was a formidable warrior for causes she was passionate about. Praying all your wonderful memories will bring you comfort in the weeks ahead. Fly high Jayne!
