She enjoyed everyday walks with her brother Gordon, and her beloved dog Scrappy at Rockwood Park. She was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan. Following her retirement, Betty delighted in tending to her flower gardens. She also used her skills as a Registered Nursing Assistant volunteering in the palliative care unit.
Betty will be missed by her daughter, Patricia Denton (Wayne); grandchildren: Michael (Andrea) and Jody Melvin (Bill); great-grandchildren: Michaela, Carley, Colin, Cece and Wesley; siblings: Marion Soucy, Gordon Taylor and Kenny Taylor (Rose); as well as many nieces and nephews.
