Obituary of Katherine Mary Davis
Katherine passed away peacefully, in the gentle manner she lived her life, at Parkland Shannex, Tucker Hall. Born in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Annie (Frozel) Gould.
Katherine is survived by brother Ron (Alice), and sisters Barb and Eva. She is also survived by her ten daughters: Margie (Ray), Nora (Ron), Louise (Terry), Barb, Patsy (Joe), Alice (David), Charlene, Roseanne (Paul), Vicky (Brian), and Angela (Chris). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband James, July 5, 2000, as well as brothers, Peter, Edward and Harold and sister Patsy. Katherine was also precedeased by her great-grandchildren Ethan Lingley and James Waddell.
In her earlier years, Kay loved to shop – especially for the young ones. Remembering all their ages and sizes was a talent she excelled in. She was also an avid bingo and card player with her daughters and caregivers. Kay worked for 21 years at the St. Vincent Convent with the Sisters of Charity of the Immaculate Conception.
Her family would like to express their sincere heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff of Mayflower Unit. Their dedicated passion in holding phones to her ear for several hours, to the shared warm blankets and hot drinks extended to the family outside and to the overall compassionate care to our mother. We thank you!
