Hughie, Jimmy, Mary Jane —- I was saddened to read of your Mom’s passing. When my Mom moved to SJ , she was so happy to have found a golfing pal. They were both in their 80s. The friendship continued after the golfing stopped. They saw each other at Mass, and at Music in Millidgeville. To all of Lois’s family, warmest condolences from mom, Vera, and me.

My sincerest sympathy to the family on the passing of this beautiful “lady”. My only regret is not having met her sooner. It would make my day when she would jump into my vehicle as soon as I would pull up like she was a teenager to attend our weekly card games. Her first words would be “maybe today will be our day” as she always enjoyed winning. When her health started to fail , we played cards weekly as partners in her home against her daughters, Rose and Mary Jane. Her gutsy moves allowed us to win more often than not, which always pleased her. I am going to miss this sweet lady, as she was such a caring person, and I am pleased to have called her my friend. R.I.P. Lois.
