Obituary of Ruth Shaw

With great sadness, we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Ruth Pearl Shaw, at her residence in Rocmaura Nursing Home on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. Born June 24, 1929 in Shediac, she was a daughter of the late Paxton and Ada (Cooke) Fairweather. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Ruth is survived by her only son, Bill and his wife Mary, who took care of her for many years before she went to live in Rocmaura Nursing Home; her grandchildren: Amanda Tingley (Peter), Jillian Shaw, Adam Shaw, Deanah Shaw; great-grandchildren: Rhobyn Hawkes, Maddyson Hartlen, Sierra Tingley, Amelia Tingley, and Charlotte Tingley; as well as her extended family members.

Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Fernhill Cemetery.
