James was our family rebel, somewhat irreverent, always looking for the next big deal, yet forever friendly, inquisitive and generous.

After emigrating from Scotland as a child, he grew up in Rothesay and Renforth, then lived and worked as a first-class Chef in Toronto, Oakville, Cape Cod, St. Andrews, and Saint John.

James is survived by his three brothers and their families, and a small group of dear friends.
