Obituary of Donnie Day

It is with great sadness that the family of Donnie Day announces his passing which occurred on March 2, 2021, at St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home. Born in Saint John on April 23, 1929, he was a son of the late John and Flora (Clayton) Day.

Donnie will be sadly missed by his wife, Betty C. (Vroom) Day; son, Kip (Angela); daughters, Cindy Thiemann (David), and Donna McNamee (Joseph); grandchildren, Tricia Therrien (Marco), Shane Day (Kayla), Mike Day (John), Tasha Thibodeau (Paul), Salena Thiemann (Amie), Tracy Williams (Murray), and Shawna McNamee (Billy); great-grandchildren, Jake Meagher, Adrian Thiemann, and Shyanne Doucette; as well as his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Billy Day, Jackie Day, Charlie Day; sisters, Hortance Ramsay and Valarie Wyles.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (634-7424). A private visitation and funeral service will be held via invitation only.
