Obituary of James Taylor
Surrounded by the love of his loving parents, James Joseph Frederick Taylor of Saint John passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on January 24, 2016, James was the pride and joy of his parents, James Leighton Taylor and Karrie Gautreau.
James was five years old and loved to see people smile and laugh. His smile and laughter were known to light up the room. As he greeted people, James loved to give fist bumps and high fives. He had a special love for his sister, Jillian and a close bond with his cousin, Hailey Taylor. Like most little boys, he loved cars and trucks…especially anything Dodge. James had a passion for music, loved tapping his foot and bobbing his head to the beat. He enjoyed watching Paw Patrol, Cars, Blippi the clown and TikTok. We will always remember our James, as he will forever be our sweet baby James, who was a cuddler and loving little boy.
In addition to his loving parents, James will be missed by his sister, Jillian; his maternal grandparents, Peggy Gautreau and Stephen Joyce; paternal grandparents, James “Tony” and Trudy Taylor; great-grandparents, Ella Kelly (Howie), Edward Gautreau and Eileen Shonaman; special cousin, Hailey Taylor; teacher, Lori Parker; friends, Shawn and Karter from daycare and his best friend, his dog, Momo “Molly”. James will also be lovingly remembered by his several uncles and aunts, Jordan, Joel, Jason, Skyler W., Nadia, Riley, Skylar L., Connor, Dilon and Andrea; as well as great aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Mark Melvin; great-grandparents, Joseph and Cathleen Taylor and Edward and Esther Wilson; uncle, Alex Taylor and pets, Caesar and Jamie.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff of 4AS Pediatrics, Dr. Wendy Stewart, Dr. Sarah Gander and the staff of the IWK. Thank you to Make-A-Wish-Canada and all the parade participants. The love and community support shown towards our family will always be held close to our hearts.
