In my brief acquaintance with Sister Charlotte, I always enjoyed our conversations at MacDonald’s Point. It was lovely to see her stroll along the shore and enjoy the view. Her kindness to me and interest in our shared family was always refreshing and appreciated. She will be sorely missed. Peter and I along with Patrick and Sean send our deepest condolences to our MacDonald’s Point Vickers friends and family.

I am very sorry to learn of Sister Charlotte’s passing. My sincere condolences to her family and the Sisters of Charity of the Immaculate Conception. I first met Sister Charlotte when I served on the Board of Directors for L’Arche Saint John, She was our leader and a strong advocate for L’Arche. I had the pleasure of getting to know her better as we worked on many fundraisers for McKim House. I am presently living in Calgary and whenever I returned to N.B. for a visit and we met, we would have great chats. Please know that Sister Vickers, her family and the Sisters of Charity will be remembered in my prayers.

To Sister Charlotte's family and Sisters of Charity of Immaculate Conception, My prayers and thoughts are with you at this most difficult time. I first met Sister Charlotte in 1970 when I started working at St. Joseph"s Hospital . In 1971 when my son was born Sister Charlotte was giving Ken Dryden and his wife a tour of the Nursery. My husband and I were there. The first thing she said to us was to have a picture taken with Ken and our baby boy . The next comment was he may become a hockey player one day. Those were good times at St. Joe's and many friends were made. God Bless! Ann McKinney ( retired nurse )

I had the privilege of working as an assistant to Sr Charlotte for many years at StJoseph's Hospital. As an accomplished leader and mentor, she was able to articulate a vision of compassionate care that inspired nurses to give their best to patients and families every day. Always interested in developing the next generation of leaders, she offered opportunities for growth to many who were grateful for her encouragement. I appreciated her convictions; was humbled by her kindness; and enjoyed her animated conversations. May she rest in peace. My sincere condolences to her family and to the Sisters with whom she served.

To the family and Sisters of Immaculate Conception of the late Sister Charlotte Vickers, I remember when I was looking to get my own apartment which was in 2011 she along with another fought tirelessly until they found me a place to call my own . When my mom passed she was one of the first of many from the community who came to the wake. When I needed a advocate she was there . When she saw James & I together at Evening Prayer she always reassure us of her prayers for both of us. You will be missed by so many but some say Rest Easy Sister Charlotte as you been good and faithful servant to many. Jannette Jarvis & James Gidney

Sending thoughts and prayers to the family of Sr. Charlotte and to her community - the Sisters of Charity of the Immaculate Conception, Saint John. Sister Charlotte was on the Board of Directors of L'Arche Saint John when McKim House was opened in 2005 and was always available to help in any way she could as we began our journey as a L'Arche community. I remember her telling me of her journey to England (probably in 2003 or 2004) and visiting L'Arche communities so that she could experience a bit of what life in a L'Arche community was all about. She was a wonderful friend to L'Arche Saint John and to me and will be truly missed. Rest in peace, good and faithful servant! Marilyn Moore

My Condolences to Sr. Charlotte’s family, friends and the Community of the SCIC for your loss. Sr. Charlotte left her mark on many of us as we trained and worked at St. Joseph’s. She expected nothing but our best! When I applied for a job in Montreal I was asked where I had trained. When I said St. Joseph’s Hospital in Saint John NB the next question was “Can you start this afternoon”? And to my friend, Ann Connolly, I am sorry for the loss of your aunt! With Sympathy and Friendship.

Sister Charlotte was my Godmother. I was born 2 months before she entered the convent. I remember all the birthday gifts, especially a rosary in which each decade was a different color. I loved it. I became a nurse and worked for a short time
@St Joseph's Hospital in St. John which was run by Sister Charlotte and Sister Margaret. She was a wonderful woman who dedicated her life to others.

Deepest sympathy to all the Vickers.Sister Charlotte hired me as an LPN when I moved to Saint John. She and Sister Margaret expected top nursing care from all of us and St Joseph’s Hospital was the best. We all felt like a family, and proud to work there.
She encouraged me to go back to school for my RN degree and I had lots of work hours as an LPN to pay my way through .A very strong Woman and well respected.

Sister Charlotte hired me by phone from Nova Scotia in 1982 and I’m forever grateful. What an opportunity to start my nursing career under one of the very best. I remember as a young nurse being scared of her because she sure ran a tight ship! Her leadership dedication and compassion are her legacy. Sister Charlotte will always be St Joes to me. My sincere condolences to my dear friend Anne and all the Vickers family. RIP Sister Charlotte
