Obituary of Margo Ellen Perry

It is with heavy hearts, but also with thanks to our Lord Jesus for the time we had together, that we announce the unexpected passing of Margo Perry, beloved wife of Rev. Walter E. Perry, on Thursday, May 6, 2021. Born January 7, 1947 in Renfrew, Ontario, she was a daughter of the late Andrew W. and Ellen M. (Naismith) Crozier.

Margo was a true partner in ministry with Walter. She enjoyed leading ladies Bible Studies, hosting teas, providing hospitality to anyone who came to her door, and, of course, whipped cream. Margo loved to worship, whether it was through song, piano, choir, prayer or reading scripture.

In addition to her husband of 53 years, Walter, Margo will be forever missed by her children: Rev. Kirk (Joanna) of Brockville, ON, Lynnette of Browns Flat, and Rev. Graham (Rebecca) of Saint John; grandchildren: Asher and Abel of Brockville, and Nathan, Eli, and Micah of Saint John; sister, Frances Craig of Pembroke, ON; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Besides her parents, Margo was predeceased by her sister, Myrna McCutcheon; and brother, Donald Crozier.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Visiting will take place on Monday, May 24, 2021 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm from Saint John 1st Wesleyan Church, 399 Boars Head Road, Saint John. You will be greeted by Brenan’s staff and they will assist with COVID-19 protocols. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 1:00pm from Kingswood University’s Saunders Irving Chapel, 20 Wesley Drive, Sussex. Interment will follow in Browns Flat Baptist Cemetery.

For those who wish, donations can be made to Saint John First Wesleyan Church. All gifts will be put towards a significant lighting upgrade in the sanctuary of the Church.
