Obituary of Courtney Dawn Marie MacKenzie
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Courtney Dawn Marie MacKenzie announces her unexpected passing, which occurred on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. Born in Saint John, NB on December 3, 1993, she was a daughter of Beverley MacKenzie (Patrick Quigg) and John Power.
In addition to her parents, Courtney will be missed by her son Ari Zane Sheppard as well as his father Kyle and grandmother Karen. Courtney is also survived by her siblings: Zane Power, Shera, Shaylene and Craig Scott; her grandparents: Barbara MacKenzie, and Joan and Brian Quigg; Aunts and Uncles: Cindy (Lonnie), Karen (Donnie), Bruce (Wendy), Sandra (Mike), Art (Linda), and Deanna (Mike); as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends, and Killa
She was predeceased by grandparents: Eugene MacKenzie, and Elizabeth and Thomas Power; as well as her Aunt and Godmother, Shirley, and Mister Noodle.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm. Guests are asked to enter the building through the courtyard doors, where staff will greet and assist you with Covid-19 protocol. A private funeral service will be held following visitation by invitation only. For those unable to attend, please join the family virtually by following the live stream link on Courtney’s obituary. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association, or a preferred charity that assists those living with addictions or mental illness.
