Obituary of Mary Margaret Ann Boudreau
We are heartbroken to announce the peaceful passing of Margie Boudreau (O’Connell) on Thursday, May 20th at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Sydney NS, Margie was the daughter of the late Gladys “Toots” and Frank O’Connell.
Margie leaves behind her loving husband of 36 years, John; a son, Frank (Kristin); a daughter, Shelly (Jeremy) and the loves of her life, her grandchildren, Kristen and Seth. Margie is also survived by her sisters, Trudy (Reggie), Stella ( Frank), Erica (Adam) and Francie; brothers, Albert (Sue) and Frank "Oakie" (Cheryl); brother- in- law, Levi (Helen); sister- in- law, Irene and many nieces and nephews.
Margie had a generous heart and would do anything she could for you, without question. She always put the needs of others before her own without question…because this is who she was. Small things in life are what brought her immense joy…daily phone calls with loved ones, visits from family or even just watching a movie. Margie took great pride in taking care of her family and was a devoted mother, grandmother and wife and this meant the world to her.
Anyone who knew Margie will tell you that she always made life interesting. She was a strong woman with a stubborn streak, had a great sense of humor, loved pulling pranks and loved to laugh.
Besides her parents, Margie is predeceased by her brothers, Jimmy, Charlie and Jackie.
We would like to take the time to give a very special thank you to the doctors and the incredible nurses in the ICU unit for their kind, compassionate care of Margie during her final days. We are forever grateful.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A private service will take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances in Margie’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. www.BrenansFH.com.
