Obituary of Stella Tompkins
It is with the heaviest of hearts the family of Stella Marie Tompkins, loving wife of the late Charles Tompkins Sr., announce her passing on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on September 9, 1961 in Bathurst, NB. She was a daughter of the late Robert and Marie (Leclair) Hachey.
Stella worked as a Booking Agent and enjoyed spending time with her family and singing her country songs out loud for all to hear; her spirit will always shine bright.
Stella will be lovingly remembered by her sons: Charles (Terry) Tompkins Jr., Christopher Tompkins, Jonathan Tompkins and Anthony Tompkins, all of Saint John; brother: Edward (Yvette) Hachey of Saint John; sisters: Imelda (Everett) Weaver, Violet (Wayne) Mailman and Margaret (Lloyd) Beck all of Saint John; sister-in-law: Margaret Hachey; and grandchildren: Kayden, Ayissa, Breana and Brody (Alisha); great-grandchildren: Jayce, Kaleb and Ezrah; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Stella was predeceased by her brothers, Lionel, Delphis and Romeo and her sister, Emily Cormier (the late Zeol).
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A private family Funeral Liturgy will be held from Brenan’s Chapel. Interment to take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
