Obituary of Ethel Dingee
Ethel H Dingee
It is with great sadness that the family of Ethel Helen Alice (Hoben) Dingee announces her sudden passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital, June 15th, 2021. Born in Gagetown, NB, she was the eldest daughter of the late Roy and Beatrice (Price) Hoben. She was predeceased by her husband Alton F. Dingee.
Ethel is survived by her sons George (Valerie) Dingee, Quispamsis, NB, Robert (Lorraine Johnson) Dingee, Burlington, ON and daughter Ann-Marie Dingee (Paul Hanson) Quispamsis, NB. Her six wonderful grand-daughters brought her great joy: Maria Hanson (Ryan Dobbin), Michelle Hanson (Scott Crowell), Alexandra Johnson Dingee, Kira Johnson Dingee, Claire Dingee and Victoria Dingee. She loved her time with her three great-grandsons, Henry and William Dobbin, and Emerson Crowell and the laughter they provided.
For many years Ethel worked at Simpson Sears and was a long-time member of Portland United Church. Ethel enjoyed hours of telephone conversations with her sisters Angela Cole, Irene MacDonald, Muriel Bugden and friend Audrey Lamb as well as many other landline enthusiasts.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home (634-7424). Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 29th, 2021 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Brenan's Funeral Home (111 Paradise Row).
