Obituary of Bernadine Patterson
It is with appreciation for a wonderful life, and gratitude for a lifetime of memories that the family of Bernadine Patterson (O’Brien) announces her peaceful passing, which took place at her residence on Tuesday, June 22nd, 2021. Born in Saint John on September 7th, 1937, she was a daughter of the late James and Kathleen (Legassie) O’Brien.
Bernadine will be missed by her children: Leslie Patterson, Theresa Patterson, Charlotte Dort (Donnie), Matthew Patterson, Luke Patterson (Amanda), Sean Patterson and their father James Patterson; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings: Norman, David (Joyce), Noreen and Eleanor; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to her parents, Bernadine was predeceased by a brother James, and a grandson, Christopher Dort.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Monday, June 28th, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Guests are asked to enter through the courtyard doors where staff will greet and assist you with Covid-19 protocol. Mass will be celebrated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 31 Gondola Point Rd, Rothesay on Tuesday, June 29th, 2021 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Association for Community Living (NBACL). Online condolences may be placed at www.BrenansFH.com
