Obituary of Bernadine Patterson

It is with appreciation for a wonderful life, and gratitude for a lifetime of memories that the family of Bernadine Patterson (O’Brien) announces her peaceful passing, which took place at her residence on Tuesday, June 22^nd, 2021. Born in Saint John on September 7^th, 1937, she was a daughter of the late James and Kathleen (Legassie) O’Brien.

Bernadine will be missed by her children: Leslie Patterson, Theresa Patterson, Charlotte Dort (Donnie), Matthew Patterson, Luke Patterson (Amanda), Sean Patterson and their father James Patterson; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings: Norman, David (Joyce), Noreen and Eleanor; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Bernadine was predeceased by a brother James, and a grandson, Christopher Dort.

Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Monday, June 28^th, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Guests are asked to enter through the courtyard doors where staff will greet and assist you with Covid-19 protocol. Mass will be celebrated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 31 Gondola Point Rd, Rothesay on Tuesday, June 29^th, 2021 at 11:00 am.
