Marilyn, Debbie and Stephen - so sorry to read this in the paper today about Uncle Fred. I remember summer trips to New Brunswick every year to see Fred and then later to see the whole family. And sadly now that I live in New Brunswick I haven't seen him recently.
One of the last times I saw Uncle Fred was when dad came down for a visit with Donald, Stanley & family, and Debbie. Dad and Fred wanted to go for a drive to where they used to live around Sussex. Uncle Fred and dad sat in the front of my pickup so they could direct us. Between dad not being able to see well and Uncle Fred not being about to hear well we had quite the adventure. We ended up on some dirt road that just stopped and we had to back out. Don't think we actually ever found the homestead.
