My condolences to the family. So sad to hear of the bike accident. My son had run into Pat and TK on the trails the weekend before. Pat was a great man, and will be missed. Cherish the memories you have.

Pat was my parents neighbour, who was always delivering home made bread, pies and fish chowder; he kept my dads vechicle in ship shape condition. He Plowed their driveway and checked on them when the power was out. They received fresh veggies daily from his greenhouse. Best neighbour ever! My favourite memory of Pat happened last summer. We four girls decided to paddle the Mushquash River. It was a beautiful sunny day, Kim brought the best snacks, Hannah paddled and talked exitedly about her new job and Baylee kept us entertained with silly stories. It wasn’t until we rounded the last bend and actually saw the warf…. That my heart beat faster, realizing we didn’t have a game plan on how to actually get out. My head was swirling faster than the water…. Than I heard a laugh, that echoed along the currents of the river. There was Pat, standing on the floating warf, laughing, giving easy instructions and lots of confidence. He and Knight not only got us out safely- they carried our boats up the ramp, threw them—and us-in the back of his truck and brought us home! We couldn’t thank him enough…. He just waved and laughed as he drove away. Pat certainly had an easygoing way to make Five Fathom Hole a Brighter Home, his good hearted way will be missed
