Obituary of Albert Hebert
It is appreciation for a life well-lived that the family of Albert Hebert announce his passing on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on February 16, 1952, in Saint John, NB, he was a son of the late Alcide and Germaine (Legere) Hebert.
Albert was known to everyone as a humble hardworking man who loved his job as the superintendent of Hillcrest Village on Manawagonish Road – a position he proudly held for thirty-four years. The residents of the Village could always count on Albert to attend to their needs no matter the hour and always with a smile. He didn’t know how to complain – life was too short for that. Albert had a passion for country music and enjoyed singing and playing his guitar. He was a man of great faith, a devoted Christian who lived for the Lord. He loved spending time with his family, especially his cherished grandchildren. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
Albert will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years, Karen; son, Ken (Julie) of Saint John; daughter, Angie Shonaman (Jim) of Sussex; brother, Henry (Lynn) of Saint John; sisters, Bernadette Leblanc (the late Raymond), Ruth Parsons (the late Neddy), and Genevieve Therrien (the late Baby) all of Saint John; sister-in-law, Marlene Hebert-Perry; grandchildren, Matthew Morton, MacKenzie Morton, Emma Morton, Kolby Gallant-Hebert, Meaya Hebert, Liam Shonaman and Colin Shonaman (Chelsey Esson); as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his infant daughter and infant son; brother, Norbert; and sister, Yolande (the late Claude).
Albert’s family would like to thank the staff at Sea Street Manor, 5th floor GEM unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital and the Palliative Care unit at the Regional Hospital for all their care and compassion. Your thoughtfulness will never be forgotten.
