Obituary of James Edward Kane
With sadness, the family of James E. Kane announce his peaceful passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on August 27, 2021. Jim was born August 8, 1939, in Saint John to the late Joseph and Marie (Alty) Kane and was the loving husband of 47 years to his wife Maria (Bogers) Kane.
Jim worked for the C.N.R and I.L.A (International Longshoreman Association)
Along with his wife, Maria, he is survived by his children, Catherine (Donald) and Jim (Dr. Sasha Sealey); grandchildren, Grayson, and Isla; brothers, Joe, George, and Lou; Sisters, Allie and Patricia, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Besides the love of his family, one of Jim’s greatest joys was fishing with his good friend Billy Brown. He is Loved, Missed and Forever in our Hearts.
We would like to thank Mary Kane for the treats she cooked for Jim and to George and Lou who gave him peace of mind for all you have done. Pat, and Allie for all the prayers and visits and the nurses on 5-A-North, especially Rebecca and Jessica, Dr. Noel, Dr. Le and Samantha. Also a special thanks to Father Doug McNeill.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Visitation will take place on Monday, August 30, 2021, from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 PM.
