I am so, so sorry to hear this sad news. Pre-Covid I was a volunteer on Dogwood, taking the residents to and from church on Thursdays. At that point, your Mum did not need help, but she and I spent many hours chatting and laughing afterwards. She usually had some candy for me to bring home to my husband and she always had a welcoming and parting hug for me. After she moved to Cedar I saw her infrequently and missed our chats. I will really miss her, as I know you all will.
Sincerely, Cathryn Ward

Nanny Doyle, You were always a proper lady, gentle yet strong, incorruptible and pure as the driven snow. I know how much you loved your son and daughters and gushed over your grand-children. I admired how much you cared for you true love Tom Sr. and we take comfort knowing you are with him now. I am sure he had a grocery store cake ready for the two of you to share. I loved how you always called me Dear and held my hand. You will be remembered and celebrated. We are thinking of you and everyone who loved you as they gather to celebrate your life. Thanks for all the smiles and love.

I am so saddened to hear about Joan's passing but when I look at her she makes me smile with those beautiful, sparkling eyes and that smile. I got to know Joan when my Mom, Rita Weston and My Dad, Arnie Weston moved into the The Village in 2106. Joan often walked around the building and we became fast friends. She was such a joy to be around and always made me smile. When I was taking a long body pillow into my Mom one day she saw me and I had actually bought two to see which was best for Mom, she was so entrigued with the pillow and asked where she could get one...well Joan had me and I said well, you can have this blue one...nothing doing she wanted to pay me to which I said...you don't have enough money to pay me....just enjoy it...Well as time went on Mom had to be moved to a private room and Dad was moved down stairs to Dogwood, two doors up from Joan.
The first day Dad was there February 15th 20218 Joan came up to welcome Dad with a Heart shaped cotainer filled with Cinnoman Hearts, she grinned and gave them to Dad and said..." Be careful they are spicy and hot"...we had a great chuckle. After that I was in very often and she would always want to show me that she still had the pillow...I really loved her..then when Covid hit I lost contact. She certainly was a lovely lady and I wanted you to know that little story about her. I am better off for knowing her. Please accept my profuound condolences in your loss. Wanda Allaby (nee Arnie Weston's daughter)
