Obituary of Brad Gustavson

With broken hearts, we announce the untimely passing of Brad Gustavson, cherished husband of Vicki (Cyr) Gustavson, on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at his residence in Nerepis, NB. Born January 18, 1976, in Swan River, Manitoba, he was a son of Bonnie Gagnon and the late Dennis Gustavson, and was the beloved step-son of Kevin.

Brad worked in construction as a sub-contractor and took great care of his wife and their family. He had many friends across Canada that he made throughout the years that will miss his fun-loving nature and his sense of humour.

In addition to his loving wife, his mother, and his step-dad, Brad will be terribly missed and lovingly remembered by his children: Christopher Marney (Braeden), Samantha Cleghorn (Mike), Courtney Marney, Virginia Cyr (Dylan), and Samiya Noor; grandchildren: Elijah, Hudson, and Jude; brothers, Kyle Semchyshyn (Leigh-Ann) and Tyler Semchyshyn; his sister, Kim Casey (Guy Ramsay); best friend, Joost van Kesteren; as well as nieces and nephews, Kristi, Nichole, and Justin Casey.

Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), visitation will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at 2 pm from Brenan’s Chapel. Those unable to attend will be able to watch the livestream of the service, which will be attached to Brad’s obituary on Brenan’s website, beginning at 2 pm. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family. Please place online condolences and remembrances at www.BrenansFH.com.
