Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth Constantine
With heavy hearts, the family of Margaret Elizabeth (Allen) Constantine, wife of the late Gordon Brian Constantine, announce her passing on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Bobby’s Hospice. Born March 29, 1946, in Sydney, NS, she was a daughter of the late John A. and F. Dorothy (Harrison) Allen.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Kelli Constantine; son, Robert Constantine (Helen); grandchildren: Bowen, Bradley, Joycelynn, and Carly; sisters: Dorothy Comeau (PG) of Shelburne, NS, and Frances Gambin (Joseph) of Winnipeg; brother, John Allen (Arlene); her cherished pup, Taffy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and brother- and sisters-in-law.
Besides her parents and her husband, Gordon, Margaret was predeceased by her nephews, Lawrence and Adrian Gambin and Stuart Steen; and her other cherished pup, Java, in May.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Chris O’Brien; the staff of Bobby’s Hospice and the Saint John Regional Hospital; Extra Mural, especially Nurse Marjorie, Mindy and Patricia from PT, and Jenn from OT; the Paramedics and ambulance attendants; as well as extended family and friends who have provided comfort, food, phone calls, and other forms of support. Your kindness will not be forgotten.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, with visitation on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, from Brenan’s Chapel at 10 am. Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Due to COVID-19 health measures placed on indoor gatherings by the Government of New Brunswick, all those 12 and older attending the Funeral Service will be required to show proof of vaccination and a piece of government-issued ID, or proof of medical exemption. The family requests that all guests wear a mask and respect physical distancing.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Bobby’s Hospice, NB Extra Mural, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Please place online condolences and remembrances at www.BrenansFH.com.
