Obituary of Avis Ardene Hills

It is with great sorrow that the family of Avis Hills announce her unexpected passing on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at the age of 73. She was born in Saint John on June 25, 1948 and remained in the area with family all her life.

 Avis had a passion for seeing the world and experienced many adventures and escapades on trips with her husband. Her love for her family and friends was limitless and she found great joy in her grandchildren and many family pets.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 49 years, Gord; children, Andrea, Kelly (Duane) and Kathy (Pat); grandchildren, Alexander, Mackenzie and Amelia; sisters, Carol and Sharron; sister-in-law, Pam; numerous family members, furry grandkids and friends. She was predeceased by parents Ellen (Snow) and Frank Jones.

The family wishes to say a special thanks to Cathy and Shane Robinson for their quick and kind assistance. The world has lost a fantastic lady and she will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 10:00 AM from Brenan’s Chapel. Due to Covid-19 health measures placed on indoor gatherings by the Government of New Brunswick, all those 12 and older attending the service will be required to show proof of vaccination and a piece of government-issued ID or proof of medical exemption.
