Obituary of Melvin "Brian" Foote
With sadness for our loss, but with great appreciation for a life well-lived, the family of Melvin “Brian” Foote, loving husband of Jennifer Foote (Adair), announces his passing on Friday, October 22, 2021, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born September 19, 1961, in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Melvin Foote and Gwen Ward (Macumber).
Following in his father’s footsteps, Brian was employed with Bay Ferries for 38 years. He loved his job; he loved to meet new people and made many lifelong friends.
In addition to his wife, Jennifer, Brian will be missed by his son, Jonah Foote; sister, Dianne Godfrey (Charles); nieces, Cynthia Chaisson (Michael), Michaela Sullivan, Michelle Sullivan; nephew, Craig Sullivan; great-niece, Jessica Chaisson; great-nephew, Andrew Chaisson; father and mother-in-law, Bev and Donna Adair and sister-in-law, Charlene Sullivan (Michael).
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). In keeping with Brian’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a graveside service in Ocean View Memorial Gardens on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Hillcrest United Baptist Church or Diabetes Canada (NB).
