Obituary of Gertrude Patricia Gray
It is with great sadness that the family of Gertrude Patricia “Pat” Gray announce her passing, which occurred on Wednesday, December 8th, 2021, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, following a short illness.
Born in Saint John, N.B. on October 11, 1936, she was the daughter of the late R. Archer and Madeline Logan (nee Wilkins). Beloved wife of the late Allan Gray (2005).
Pat is survived by her daughters Elizabeth McAuliffe (Terry) of Hudson, Florida, Susan Alchorn (Charles), Carole Ann O’Neill (Vincent); sons, Jeffery (Cathy), and Michael of Saint John; her sisters Shirley Kyle, Barbara MacDonald, and brothers Howard and Michael Logan.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Joe Carey (Ika), Lindsay Carey, Jeremy Gray, Erin McDermott (Michael), Katelyn O’Neill, Valera Alchorn, Matthew Burris, and Christopher Gray, as well as great-grandchildren Logan Carey, and Benjamin McDermott.
In addition to her parents and late husband, Pat was predeceased by her brother, Hartley “Buddy” Logan and sister Janet Toth.
Pat’s family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit of the Saint John Regional Hospital for the exceptional care she received. They would also like to thank the staff of 3A North for their help and concern.
Cremation has taken place. The family gathered privately for a Committal Service in Fernhill Cemetery. Arrangements under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
