So sorry to hear of your father's passing. Our condolences to you all. I obviously have many fond memories of your dad from up at "the lake" and in recent years always looked forward to our chat's out in the field. When we spoke this summer he was very much looking forward to having the family there in August for a celebration. I'm sure he enjoyed that gathering very much. Your dad was a true gentlemen and will be remembered fondly by us all.
All the best,
Eric Burchill

He was a true gentleman both on and off the court.

Alastair was a wonderful gentleman. We appreciated his many years as part of the St. Marks choir and loved our talks after church. He was admired by so many for such a kind caring manner. Dayle and I send our condolences

I am so very sorry for your loss. Al worked with my family for many years at C. A. Munro Limited. Al trained me for his position prior to his retirement in 1996. He was a very sweet and kind man. I ran into him only months ago at Sobeys and he looked great and said he was feeling well. Please accept our sincere condolences.

I have the fondest memories of both Mr and Mrs MacPherson from my days at St Marks United. They were kind and genuine people with hearts of gold. Looking back, I can remember how great they were together. Mrs MacPherson was my Brownie leader for some time and she was so kind to us girls. I take comfort knowing this loving couple is together again as they should be. My condolences to the family.

Mary,
I first came across your Dad in the late 1960's when @badminton tournaments. He along with Allan Macdonald were a joy to watch and learn from to me a beginner. I remember being at Vivian's house on Cherry Tŕee Lane when I realized that I knew of Allan as well. It surely is a small world.
Your dad was a gentleman for sure taking care of his Phoebe when they were out & about. I would run into them quite often when I was over West, but especially in the West Branch Library.
My heart goes out to you, your brothers & all the grandkids. Cherish your memories and be happy he is now with your dear Mom, Phoebe.
Love & hugs Sally Marshall

To Bruce, Paul and Mary
I am so sorry to hear of your father's passing he was a lovely man.
I started babysitting your family when Mary was born. I continued until I married and moved away.
My first job was in the city center and so I car pooled with your father each morning.
Your father gave the toast to the bride at my wedding.
Each time I would visit my parents I would cross the street and drop in to have a quick chat with yours.
Your parents were so proud of all their children and I know spoiled their grandchildren who they loved dearly.
May they both rest in peace. Anita Monahan

I waited on your dad many times at the Bulk Barn west when I worked there. First time he and your mom came into the store he tipped his hat as he was leaving. That got us to talking about how that gesture had gotten lost along the way and how I remembered my own dad always doing the same. From then on in he would make sure I saw him as he was leaving and would make a point of tipping his hat and would smile. He was sure a broken man when he lost your mom and I rejoice today knowing they are now together again. He was a lovely human. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.
