Obituary of Craig Loatman

It is with utter devastation that the family of Craig Loatman, devoted husband of the late Pamela Wood, announces his unexpected passing on December 29, 2021, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on March 26, 1964, he was the son of Leslie Douglas Sr. and the late Sheila Donna (Hogan) Loatman.

Despite often being mistaken for his brother Randy, Craig was friends with everyone, and was well loved in the community. He loved his family and spoiled his grandchildren rotten and was excellent in the kitchen making the most amazing chicken, fried rice, and gravy. Craig did a variety of jobs like DJing parties, weddings, catering and being a karaoke host, but he is most well known for running Big Daddy’s Pizza for several years. He was also a huge Montreal Canadians fan. He will be sorely missed by so many.

Left to mourn his loss are his children: Craig “Tiger” (Ashley) Loatman Jr., Shannon (Rick) Loatman, and Keishia Loatman; and Johnathan Loatman. stepdaughter: Candy Theriot; grandchildren: Aaliyah Loatman, Jada Loatman, Shelby Raynes, Hunter Raynes, and Kenzie Kneeland; step grandchildren: Matthew Simpson and Hunter McDaniel; brothers: Leslie “Bim” (Tammy) Loatman Jr., Brian “Booboo” (Carrie) Loatman, and Randy (Zoe) Loatman; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Craig is reunited in heaven with the love of his life Pamela Wood, mother Sheila Donna Loatman, and sister Crystal Loatman.
