Obituary of Rob Nickerson
It is with profound sadness and regret that the family of Robert Ellis Nickerson announces his passing on January 4, 2022, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on October 10, 1952, he was the son of Malcolm Nickerson (deceased) and Constance Nickerson.
He was a loving partner of Beatrice Cook. Bob is survived by his mother, Constance Nickerson, Sydney Mines, daughter, Katherine Nickerson (Anthony Flynn), Saint John, son, James (Amelia) Nickerson, Edmonton, James Cook, Saint John, Mark Cook, Saint John, sister Sharon (Joseph) Salter, Sydney Mines, brother Peter Nickerson, Sydney Mines, Althea Barlow, aunt, Fredericton and Gay (Kerry) Fitzgerald, cousin, Annapolis, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Bob was a lifelong resident of Saint John, graduating from Vocational School. He was a licensed insurance agent and shareholder of Fairweather’s Insurance Ltd., Saint John. He enjoyed his time helping others as a volunteer for the Saint John Ambulance and upon retirement drove school buses in the city and finally driving the Youth’s bus for the YMCA.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506) 634-7424. Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be held later.
