Interment in Spring 2022
Obituary of Thomas Paul Mullin
December 28, 1950 – January 7, 2022
Thomas passed away after a brief illness with his family at his side. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was predeceased by his father Joseph, his mother Edith, his brother William “Bill” and extended family.
Thomas (Tom) will be cherished and remembered by his wife Anna-Marie, his daughters Tricia and Heather, and his grandsons Robbie, Xander and Gryphon.
His first love and devotion was to his family. He was devoted to St. Ann’s Church since the age of five and taught catechism for many years, guiding young minds in their faith. He was our solid foundation and always there for his girls: helping coach their sports, or just simply hiking through nature. Tom also enjoyed taking his mom to Bingo and socializing with his many friends there.
Tom was a hard worker and faithful employee with Downey Ford for 42 years until his retirement. He never shirked his duties and always gave 100 percent to any job.
We will never forget his dry sense of humour, dancing around the kitchen or singing in the car to the 60s tunes on Sunday drives.
Sleep in peace now Tom- you are flying with the angels, your Mom, your Dad, brother Bill and cousin Betty. Rest in God’s arms and pray for us who remain.
I wake up in the morning and look at your pillow,
And you’re not there
I sit at the breakfast table and look at your place
And you’re not there
I sit on the couch and look next to me
And you’re not there
I remember when you proposed to me 48 years ago
You said I can’t imagine not being with you
I now have to go on without you
I am heartbroken and bereft
You are my first love, my only love and now I have to go on alone
I love you, I cherish you and I will carry you in my heart forever
Memories will have to sustain me until we are together again
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). In keeping with Tom’s wishes, a graveside service will be held in the Spring at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Please place online condolences and remembrances at www.BrenansFH.com.
