Obituary of Diane Ruth Elliott
It is with great sadness that the family of Diane Ruth Elliott announce her passing on January 29th, 2022, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Diane was born on September 19th, 1955, in Saint John, New Brunswick, to Richard and Ruth (nee Veinott) Kirkpatrick.
Diane was an active woman who had a love for many games and sports. In her younger years, you could find Diane playing softball or going bowling with family and friends. An avid bingo and dart player, Diane ended up joining the Saint John Dart League. She was also a proud member of the Legion Jarvis Bay – Branch #53.
Diane will be greatly missed by her husband of 44 years, Paul Richard Elliott; her mother Ruth; her two loving sons David (Jessica) and James (Jane); grandchildren William, Sierra-Rose, and Hunter; brother Charles (Lynda); sisters Patricia (Michael), Starlene (Buddy), and Gloria; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Diane is predeceased by her father Richard.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Visiting for Diane will be on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022, from 9:30-11:00 AM. Her memorial service will directly follow visiting starting at 11:00 AM in the Brenan's Chapel; burial will take place in the spring. Due to Covid-19 health measures placed on indoor gatherings by the Government of New Brunswick, all those 12 and older attending the visitation and/or service will be required to show proof of vaccination and a piece of government-issued ID or proof of medical exemption. The family has provided the opportunity for those unable to attend Thursday’s service, to participate via live stream.
