Obituary of Murray Keith Joseph O’Hara
It is with absolute devastation that the family of Murray Keith Joseph O’Hara, beloved husband of Lydia O’Hara, announces his unexpected passing on January 30, 2022. Born in Saint John on April 12, 1950, he was the son of Winnifred (Duffy) and the late Charles O’Hara.
Murray’s spirit lit up the world around him. He was kind, considerate, happy, and loved a good laugh. He was a friend to everyone and treasured his family and his dogs. Murray had a long career with the post office as a letter carrier all the way up to his retirement. He was an excellent cook and loved to share his gift with others. His other favourite pastime was riding his motorcycle.
Murray is survived by his wife of 18 years, Lydia; daughter: Shannon (Jeffery) McNulty; stepchildren: Melissa Landry, Jeffrey Bailey, and Murray Bailey; grandchildren: Cameron Landry, Jaden McNulty, Liam McNulty, Anna McNulty, and Declan Landry; brother: Charles “Chuck” O’Hara; sister: Colleen Hopey; special niece: Joselynn O’Hara; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his father Charles, Murray was predeceased by his brother Barry O’Hara and brother in law Glen Hopey.
Murray’s family wish to give a special thanks to good friends Blake Armstrong, David “Slugger” Cunningham, and Theresa Gifford, for everything you have done to make this difficult time more bearable.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424).
