Obituary of Robert Patrick Kane
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bob Kane on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at his residence in Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born March 23, 1942, in Saint John, he was a son of the late Harry and Verna (Ross) Kane.
Bob adored the love of his life “Judi”. She was his “life”, he was devoted to their time together. Bob loved and adored family and friends, including his “furry” friends (Mokie, Di and Hal).
He touched everyone that knew him in ways that mattered. He will truly be missed by all.
His pastime was spending time with Judi up in “The Glen”. He loved traveling, and playing cards was always a must whenever you went to visit. He enjoyed spending time with friends. He will be truly missed by special friends Joey and Marie who spent many hours and days with Bob and Judi.
Bob has been retired from the City of Saint John – Parks and Recreation; Local 18 Union, where he spent his career enjoying what he loved doing and met many friends and colleagues over the years.
We would like to extend a very special thank you to his friends and staff at Rocamura for all the care, love and compassion given to him during his stay.
Bob is survived by his family: Rod Knox (Lisa), Cheryl Crossman (Adrian), Susan Patterson (Chris), Bruce Knox (Sabrina), and Gillian Kelly (Brian); grandchildren: Brett, Jeffrey, Ann, Ryan, Matthew, Brandon, Riley, Josh, Kamryn, Olivia, and Owen; great-grandchildren: Allison, Bentley, Landon, Ariel, Adenna, Carter, Lyla, Charlie, Cian, and Farren; great-great-grandson, Lincoln; nieces, Leanne and Lynn; and great-niece, Deanne.
Besides his parents and beloved wife, Judi, Bob was predeceased by his sister, Dawn Morrison.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A Funeral Liturgy will take place on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 10 am from Brenan’s Chapel.
