Obituary of Gregory Herbert Peck
Surrounded by his family, Gregory Herbert Peck passed away unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on February 18th, 2022.
Born on August 29, 1950, in Saint John, NB, to the late Fred and Marjorie (Young) Peck. Greg worked at the Saint John Regional Hospital for 35 years until his retirement at 55. He was an active member of the Saint John Seventh Day Adventist Church, spending many years coordinating the Orange Program for the Church school and being an active member of the Church board. In his spare time he loved walking in the woods and spending time with his family. A very social man, he always had time for those he loved and would often spend hours chatting and telling stories to the enjoyment of all. He was an amazing husband, father, and friend, who spent his life doing everything he could to help others.
Greg will be forever remembered by his wife of 48 years Barbara (Meister); his son Jason (Angela); his daughters Christina (Ian), and Nancy (Andrew); his three granddaughters Amily, Symone and Charlotte; as well as his brothers Gary and Brian (Evelyn), and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Roger (Margo).
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). The family will be hosting a visitation from 10am to noon, service at 1pm followed by a reception on Wednesday, February 23, at the Saint John Seventh Day Adventist Church, 509 Woodward Avenue. The family will be adhering to the present governmental mandates for indoor gatherings. Please ensure you have proof of vaccination and a piece of government-issued ID, are masked and maintain social distancing. For those who wish, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association of Canada, The Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, or to the Friends of Fundy organization, a location near and dear to his heart for creating special memories with his family.
