Obituary of Matthew Ronald Hewey

With deep sadness, the family of Matthew Ronald Hewey announce his passing away, peacefully while sleeping at home on Monday, March 7, 2022. Matt is survived by his parents Ron Hewey and Brenda Fournier, brother Marc (Alma) of Gatineau, Quebec, partner Terry Lynn and Charlie his cat, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. Matt had a kind heart, always willing to take the time to listen to others and help them in any way he could. He was also known for his quirky sense of humor, randomly bringing out smiles and laughs from everyone. With Terry, Matt had turned a new page in his life, free from previous vices he was looking forward to a promising future, starting with a family trip to Asia and he was planning various summertime excursions and adventures. Matt's giving nature touched many people and he will be fondly remembered. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row., Saint John, NB (634-7424). As per his wishes, he will be cremated there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private internment may take place at a later date.
