Obituary of Rhonda Pearl Internoscia

It’s with broken hearts and in appreciation of a life worthwhile that the family and friends of Rhonda Internoscia announce her untimely passing on Wednesday, March 9th in Moncton, New Brunswick.

Born in Lasalle, Quebec, Rhonda was the only child of Janet Internoscia, Bill Pawliuk, and adopted father Noel Internoscia. A graduate of LaSalle High School, Marianopolis College, and Concordia University, it was at the University of New Brunswick that Rhonda discovered her passion for education and the province where she chose to put down roots.

She would go on to be an outstanding educator, but it was the job of Mom that Rhonda held most dear. Her children Alex (Mariah) and Katie Stewart were her proudest accomplishments, and she went to great lengths to raise exceptional young adults who will keep her legacy and memory alive.

Fiercely loyal and exceptionally compassionate, Rhonda was well-known for the open-door policy that she extended unconditionally to friends, students, colleagues, and family alike. Her home in Milledgeville (the Vortex) and apartment on Horsfield were beacons to many, where warm conversation, delicious refreshments, sound advice, and an occasional party were the norm.

An avid traveller, Rhonda loved to spend time exploring Europe, particularly Scotland, Portugal, and Sweden. She spent many a March break soaking up the sun down south and was especially fond of her many trips to Vegas with girlfriends and family.

In addition to her mother and children, Rhonda is survived by special cousins Grant and Kim Reeve, and their families. She leaves to mourn countless dear friends, particularly her extended family of teachers, and her childhood friends who she kept close no matter the distance.

She was predeceased by her fathers Bill Pawliuk, Noel Internoscia, and special Aunt and Uncle Cathie and Cyril Reeve.

The family would like to thank Jillian, Stacey, Mallory, and Tori who were there to comfort Rhonda in her final moments.

Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row., Saint John, NB (634-7424). Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, March 19th from 3- 8 PM at the Royal Kennebecasis Yacht Club with remarks at 5 PM. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.BrenansFH.com.

Rhonda gave in death as she gave in life through organ and tissue donation. Donations in Rhonda’s memory can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice, but the family hopes you’ll honour her caring and generous nature by becoming an organ donor, too.
